Party terms and conditions

  • Funkee Monkees is an Early Childhood Play Centre which is best suited for children to the age of 8 years. Primary age children over the age of 8 are to be reminded that some play equipment may not be suitable for their age. There are additional board games for this age. It is expected that at all times equipment will be used according to purpose and with respect.
  • Parents/Carers are AT ALL TIMES to care for and supervise their children. All clients, children and staff have the right to be treated with respect and courtesy. Abusive behaviours will not be tolerated and Management and staff reserve the right to ask such persons to leave.
  • Parents/Carers are responsible for the care of personal belongings. Funkee Monkees cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings.

Bookings

  • Funkee Monkees provides reserved tables or space for birthday parties during opening hours. Parties outside Open Hours fall under the Terms and Conditions of Private Hire.
  • Birthday Parties run for a 2 hour allotted time.
  • Funkee Monkees has great cafe facilities and therefore we do not allow outside drinks and food excluding birthday cakes.
  • A tab for food and drink can be set up for your party. Full payment can be made at the end of your party. Alternatively your guests can set up their own tab and pay individually. Please advise when booking your party.
  • Please advise us of any special dietary requirements. We have options for allergies and dietary preferences, but in the interest of safety and respect for culture or life choice, these requirements need to be discussed upon booking.
  • Clients do not have access to the kitchen. Cake or specialised foods (as negotiated on booking) may be put in the fridge or heated by staff members on duty.

Fees

  • A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your party booking. Once the deposit is paid, your booking will be confirmed and your party invitations can be collected. Parties must be confirmed at least 3 days before the date of the party.
  • There is a minimum charge of 10 children for all parties.
  • An initial list of the names of the children invited is to be given to staff BEFORE the party on final confirmation- a minimum of 3 days prior to the party. Changes to the list can be made on the day before the party starts.
  • Siblings of children attending the party will only be charged $5 entry fee. Entry for adults and children under 12 months attending the party is free.
  • Numbers and all party requirements must be confirmed and a deposit paid at least 3 working days BEFORE the party. There is no refund for cancellations from this time. Cancellations may be made 5 days prior to booked date.
  • Cancellations may be made 5 days prior to booked date.
  • Prices and packages include GST and management reserve the right to make changes without notice.

Health and Safety Terms and Conditions

  • There is a 100 person-capacity (including adults and children) and seating for 50 persons.
  • Children must be fully supervised with no less than 1 adult per 4 children at all times.
  • Play equipment is best suited for children to the age of 8 years and must be used appropriately and breakages caused by misuse of equipment will result in a charge to the value of the equipment.
  • Toys are NOT to be sent down the slide and all large toys such as prams are remain on ground level and NOT to be taken onto the climbing equipment.
  • Shoes must be removed and socks worn by children and adults on play equipment for hygiene reasons.
  • Should equipment be soiled by children who have accidents, parents are to advise staff immediately so all areas can be cleaned and sanitised.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the play area or on the equipment. Additional charges may be incurred if excess cleaning is required.
  • Hot food and coffee MUST to be monitored by adults to ensure the safety of children.


Private Hire terms and conditions

  • Parents/Carers are responsible for the care of personal belongings. Funkee Monkees cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings.
  • Funkee Monkees facilities can be hired outside of operating hours.
  • Bookings are for a 2 hour minimum but this can be extended by arrangement with additional time billed in half hour increments.
  • Additional 15 minutes is provided before and after hire period for set up and clean up at no additional cost. If more time is required additional charges may apply and is to be negotiated when booking. If furniture is rearranged it is expected that this will be returned to the original positions at the end of the hire period.
  • If the coffee machine is required, it must be booked at the time of booking, or upon confirming the hire and is charged at a minimum of $40 with a tab kept and payment made at the end of the hire period.
  • If the Centre cutlery and plates are required there is an additional charge of $20 for cleaning.
  • Hirers do not have access to the kitchen but can have food and drinks put in the fridge. Minimal heating by microwave is by negotiation with the staff member in attendance. However use of the oven is additional $30. Home appliances cannot be used at the centre.
  • We are not licensed so alcohol cannot be brought into the centre.
  • Funkee Monkees can cater for your event as per additional extras. It is important to advise us of any special dietary requirements. We have options for allergies and dietary preferences, but in the interest of safety and respect for culture or life choices, these requirements need to be discussed upon booking.
  • Hirers are responsible for disposal of all rubbish as there are limited bins for the centre. Please do not uask to use Centre Bins.
  • Please Note: if excessive cleaning is required- for example where food has not been monitored and allowed on equipment- a cleaning fee equal to your deposit of $50 will be charged.

Fees

  • Hire rates are $350 for 2 hour minimum hire and $120 for each additional hour billed in 30 minute increments. This hire fee covers the hire of the facility for the private use of the hirer.
  • We wish to make this a time that will suit your needs to make your time as stress free as possible. It is important to discuss your needs and look at what additional extras you may need at the time of booking and settled by the time the booking is confirmed.
  • Cancellations may be made 3 days prior to the booked date. No refunds are made for bonds or deposits after this time.
